Privacy policy
Effective 12 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Lumees Lab ("we", "us") collects when you visit lumeeslab.com or write to us, why we collect it, and what rights you have. It covers the website and email correspondence. Use of Lumina and other Lumees Lab software is covered by the End User Licence Agreement and by any agreement you sign with us.
Who is responsible
Lumees Lab, [registered address to be added], is the controller of the personal data described here. For anything about your data, write to privacy@lumeeslab.com.
What we collect
When you browse the website. The website is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, no forms, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It sets no cookies. The privacy choice you make in the privacy notice is kept in your own browser and is not sent to us (see the cookie policy). You can change it at any time from the Privacy settings link at the bottom of every page. Fonts, scripts and the 3D cell viewers are served from our own domain, so your browser does not contact other companies when you read our pages.
As with any website, the servers that deliver the pages receive technical data with each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, your browser's user-agent string and the referring page. Our hosting provider processes this data for us to deliver the site, keep it secure and investigate abuse, and keeps it only for a limited time.
When you email us. If you write to one of our addresses, for example to apply as a test partner or to ask about Lumina Blocks, a PDK or an IP partnership, we receive your name, email address, the content of your message and anything you choose to tell us, such as your company, role and design flow.
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, sensitive personal data. Please do not send us confidential design data by email unless we have agreed how it will be handled.
Why we use it, and on what basis
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Delivering the website and keeping it secure | Server log data | Our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website |
| Answering your message and following up | Your email and its contents | Steps you ask us to take before a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries |
| Running the test partner program | Your application and our correspondence | Steps before a contract, then the contract itself |
| Meeting legal obligations | What the law requires us to keep | Legal obligation |
We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising, or make decisions about you by automated means alone.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the website and our email, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only on our instructions, and with authorities where the law requires it. Some providers may process data outside your country. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another country with transfer rules, we use the safeguards that law provides, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Server logs are kept for a short period for security, then deleted. Email correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful for the conversation or relationship it belongs to, and then for as long as the law requires for business records.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected or deleted;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
- receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where we rely on it;
- complain to your data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, write to privacy@lumeeslab.com. We will answer within the time the law sets, usually one month.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS. We limit who can read correspondence to the people who need to, and we ask the providers we use to protect data to a standard at least as high as our own.
Children
The website and our products are meant for professionals and researchers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
We will update this policy when what we do changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters to people we are in contact with, we will tell them.
